Easiest Configuration for your mini home studio.
I try myself to figure out how to do the easiest setup my piano to work with reason 4. Finally, all you need are the followings,
1. Digital Piano, keyboard, or Midi controller that has Midi Port.
2.Notebook (running even Vista, XP, or MacOS.
3.USB Midi interface. (Edirol UM-1EX? works fine here)
Because i would like to make this configuration so simple, so i decided to use the internal speaker of my Roland FP7 as the sound monitor which work quite well. Connect everything as show in the diagram. Install Reason 4 Demo software. If your notebook is running Windows Vista, i recommend to download the ASIO4ALL v.2.X driver for you sound board. This driver will give you a very low latency inside Reason4. Don’t forget to lower the volumn down to zero. Then, you can play, hear and record your music. Enjoy!!

After searching the youtube for a while, i found this VDO a good starting point.? Scott Houston and his guest Bradley Sowash on the TV show, Piano Guy”. You will see how to play “Crazy” in a very simple tone. Then later just add up some spices on this song a little bit to create the Style. This VDO shows you some Tricks. It finally sounds very cool. If you can play piano, it’s not too hard to follow. Try apply to your favorite songs. Let’s me to my piano and go thru it. Bye.

Start creating your own music in the computer, Reason 4 is the choice as its simple and powerful. Sure, if you are new to this software, i have a good starting VDO. Try download the demo version of Reason 4 and ..Let’s go.
